“... eloquently deploys a string of metaphors... and her poem works just as well to describe a parent's love of his or her child as it does to express romantic affection.”

-Publisher’s Weekly STARRED review

“In the clever, quirky Before You, Rebecca Doughty uses friendship and the sense of fulfillment it brings as the basis for a series of witty comparisons... she uses her trademark deadpan visual style to hilarious effect... and the result is a book that will appeal to readers of all ages. This is a nifty little volume that celebrates the power of companionship.” -Bookpage

Oh No! Time to Go! A Book of Goodbyes
Schwartz & Wade/Random House

“A playful, reassuring book that helps make saying goodbye a little easier... there’s a new goodbye on every page. Some are easy, like when it’s time to go home for supper. Some are funny, like when dogs say it with a growl. And some are much harder, like when a very best friend moves away. With a bouncy rhyming text and vibrant, droll illustrations, this book of goodbyes leaves readers with a heartwarming thought: that for each goodbye, there’s always a new hello.“ -from Random House Books
